The Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) for Passenger Handling Personnel e-learning course provides essential training for airline, airport, and ground handling staff who interact directly with passengers and crew.
A safe and efficient air transport system relies on a competent and well-trained workforce. This course follows IATA’s Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) approach, as defined in IATA DGR Section 1.5 and Function 7.5 of the IATA Dangerous Goods Training Guidance.
Through interactive and practical modules, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence required to identify, handle, and manage dangerous goods in baggage, ensuring compliance with global safety standards and preventing undeclared or prohibited items from being carried on board.
This self-paced e-learning program requires approximately 4 hours of study and is ideal for airline and airport staff involved in baggage acceptance, boarding area management, or other passenger-facing roles.

Detect hidden or undeclared dangerous goods in baggage and mail

Identifying forbidden or hidden dangerous goods in baggage
Applying operator and regulatory requirements during baggage acceptance
Reporting procedures for dangerous goods incidents or undeclared items
Upon successful completion of the online exam, participants will receive an IATA Award of Completion, available for download and printing.
